Hey there! 👋 I’m Amanda Sovago-Royal, the self-taught graphic designer and solopreneur behind Polished Palette, Co. — where I help small business owners, content creators, and entrepreneurs bring their vision to life beautifully, intentionally, and affordably with affordable, stylish designs.
Like most good stories, mine started with a little chaos, a lot of coffee, and a why-not-me? attitude.
How It All Started
Nearly a decade ago, I was a new mom determined to stay home with my daughter while still finding a creative way to contribute (and let’s be honest — pay a few bills). I had big dreams and a love for beautiful visuals… but absolutely no design experience and even less of a design budget.
So, when I needed a professional-looking logo and cohesive templates for my online content, I did what any determined mama would do — I rolled up my sleeves and taught myself. Canva became my best friend, YouTube became my classroom, and trial-and-error became my mentor.
What started as “just making things look decent” soon turned into compliments, requests, and the realization that I’d found my passion — designing brands that help others shine online.
